My Trip to the Midwest, Minnesota

I am just getting back from a trip to the Midwest and I have to say Minnesota surprised me. I drove up there (yep drove up there) in shorts and a t-shirt but when I arrived it was in the 50’s and stayed very cool the entire time I was there.  My visit was everything I hoped it would be with one exception and that is I was not able to see my brother Kurt. Hopefully, that will change with my next visit. I was so glad to be able to spend a few hours most days with my Mother thanks to the Covid restrictions being softened. As many as could attended lunch on Mother’s Day. It has been an exceptionally long time since we were able to all be together like that. One of the take a way’s from the trip. I sat with my Mother and showed her the videos on YouTube of the family, the website and where I post the photos and history of our family. She was very touched by all of it and had no idea it was so extensive. There was one item that came up and I agree to spend some time on was the Trombley family and more specifically Lottie (Trombley) Pickering. I will prepare a post and create a video about this amazing woman from our family’s past. I hope to be back in the north soon and with the restrictions relaxing hopefully all of us will be able to be together again.
